The Barcelona chair was originally designed for the Spanish King and Queen in the year 1929. Its creator Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe along with the architect and designer companion, Lily Reich had designed it for the Deutscher Werkbund Pavilion at the Barcelona World Exposition for the crowned heads’ official visit. The Barcelona chair symbolized the modern revolution in designing. Its inspiration was drawn from the mélange of the campaign and the folding chairs belonging to the archaic epoch. These chairs are an epitome of comfort.
